What we store
Your email, display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password). Any drinks, spots, ratings, reviews, and consumption logs you create, tied to your account. Location coordinates you choose to submit when pinning a spot. If you upload a profile photo, the image itself.
What’s public
Your display name, bio, avatar (photo or color), ratings, reviews, and logged spots/flavors are visible to other signed-in users on shared leaderboards, the map, and your profile. Your email is never shown to other users. Following another user reveals your name to them, and who you follow and who follows you is visible to both accounts.
Reporting & blocking
You can report a user or a specific review from their profile, and block a user at any time from the same menu. Blocking removes you from each other’s search results and friends lists and unfollows both directions immediately. Reports are reviewed by the app’s admin, who can remove content or suspend accounts that violate our Terms.
Diagnostics
The mobile app may send crash and error reports (device type, OS version, and the code path that failed) to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, to help us fix bugs. These reports don’t include your ratings, reviews, or other account content.
Location
If you use “Use my location” or the flavor search, your device’s location is used only in your browser to center the map and sort search results — it isn’t stored on our servers unless you explicitly pin a spot there.
Third parties
Map tiles and place search are provided by OpenStreetMap-based services (Overpass, Photon). These requests go directly from your browser to those services when you search or click the map.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. This removes your ratings, logs, and follow connections immediately. Drinks and spots you added stay in the shared catalog for other users, credited to “a deleted user” instead of your name. We don’t sell or share your data with advertisers.
